COVID-19 Policy

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Infection Prevention & Control Policy – SC Makeup Artist –

This policy has been devised to keep you and I as safe as possible and should be read in conjunction with my current Terms & Conditions.

In the time I have not been able to work I have implemented a number of changes that I would like to make you aware of – I have completed the Corona virus (COVID-19) Infection Prevention and Control course, which is accredited by the Guild of Professional Beauty Therapists Ltd, the UK trade body for our industry. I have made several changes in the way that I operate that you will notice when I next visit you at your home or venue.

If I feel ill or have symptoms of C0VlD-19, I will self-isolate immediately. This may mean that I have to cancel your appointment at short notice. I appreciate that this may be inconvenient, but it is done entirely for your own safety. If your appointment is cancelled you will be able to re-book again or in the case of being your Wedding day, I will do my best to source another fully insured, professional Makeup Artist for your special day.

For your trial appointment, Wedding day booking or any special occasion booking – your temperature may be taken using a non-contact digital thermometer, if your temperature is high unfortunately no makeup will be provided to you.

If you / anyone in your wedding party or anyone you or they live with feel ill or display any symptoms of C0VlD-19 – please advise me as soon as possible as I will not be able to visit you. You will not be charged for any bookings that you cancel due to covid related illness.

Please be aware I live with and have family members that have a reduced immune system so the above-mentioned action is imperative to ensure their safety.

Pre Wedding trials/special occasion bookings –

AT THE CURRENT TIME  – There is no limit on how many people are allowed in a room with me at any one time however please ensure that social distancing can still be practiced and the room is sufficiently ventilated wherever possible. Please try to limit trial bookings to only three people as a maximum. Should larger parties require trials these may need to be carried out over two or more separate days.

Weddings –

AT THE CURRENT TIME  – There is no limit on how many people are allowed in a room with me at any one time providing the room for preparation is large, well ventilated and social distancing can still be practiced. If the room is small only two clients will be allowed in a room with me at any one time.

All makeup products, makeup tools and equipment will be disinfected or sterilised in line with the specific manufacturers’ instructions for your safety between each & every client.

Wherever possible I will utilise environmentally, friendly, single use items during a treatment that will be disposed of safely after use in order to protect you from cross infection.

Please wash your hands on my arrival and prior to your appointment commencing.

I will understand and not be offended if you wish to wear a facemask or wear disposable gloves during my visit/during your treatment when this is appropriate. When applying makeup obviously you will need to remove your facemask for the time it takes for face makeup to be applied.

Please don’t be surprised or upset to see that I will be using personal protective equipment (PPE) during my visit and during your treatment. This will include facemasks and disposable gloves where appropriate.

All disposable items are bagged and safely removed from the treatment area between each client.

I understand the importance of hand hygiene and I will ensure that I wash my hands in accordance with NHS recommendations before the start of your booking where possible or apply hand sanitiser & will be wearing gloves throughout your booking.

I will try to make your experience as safe, comfortable and enjoyable as possible. If you have any concerns about your booking, please let me know and I will do what I can to satisfy you. Please note that due to these extra hygiene measures your appointment/booking will take a little longer than usual.

In order to avoid handling of cash, I would prefer if you could pay for your treatment in advance using bank transfers. Receipts will be emailed to you.

All of these procedures have been implemented for your safety and mine. I will continue to take advice from the Government and the NHS regarding safe practice and will amend as necessary keeping you informed at all times.

Thanks you for your understanding & I’m really looking forward to seeing you soon.

Best Wishes
